Q1. What is your motivation to be in the venture investing business?
Get a chance to be part of the journey of multiple businesses rather than doing just one and working with founders to achieve what no one else has achieved in the world.
Q2. Describe your workday and leisure day, how does it look like.
Simplistically, a workday usually comprises of interacting with early stage founders, evaluating companies, and networking. On a leisure day, you can find me reading a book, playing some new AAA title, or learning some new skill!
Q3. Help describe your investment thesis and ideas you would like to back.
Investing in early-stage DeepTech startups that aim to solve massive global problems through the use of disruptive technology. Looking to back the next cutting-edge DeepTech idea across any sector!
Q4. Top 5 advice you would give to startup founder.
Always do a ground up market sizing vs. picking up an overall number from a report. Helps the investor understand the depth of the market!
Try to get introduced to an investor via a connect through your network.
Demos are usually a good way to set context on a pitch call if you have an MVP.
Q5. When you started your career what were your ambitions?
Started my career in 2014, been an operator in two startups, worked as an investment banker and then found my way into venture investing. My ambitions were always to be a part of the core entrepreneurship ecosystem in the country either as a founder or as an investor. Fate would have me start as an investor!
