With over 12 years of experience and Investing and Mentoring over 50+ Growth Stage Companies, Farooq brings active early stage experience generating over 27% IRR for the Portfolio over a period of 10 years generating 9 exits and multiple up-rounds from the likes of Sequoia, SAIF, Nexus Ventures, NEA, Matrix, RB Investments, Qualcomm and PCCW. In his last avatar Farooq was Founder of FAO Ventures LLP which provides Venture Capital as a Services to Global Family Offices, HNI's, Corporates & Funds looking to invest in Indian Venture Asset Class (Primary & Secondary). Farooq has also been a Co-Founder of Orios Venture Partners, India's largest domestically raised Venture Fund in 2014. Before Orios, Farooq was a founding representative of the Indian Angel Network (Asia’s largest Angel Network), Mumbai Chapter, where he set up it's entire base of operations and expanded it's first foray beyond the home base of New Delhi .Farooq has graduated from Bryant University with a major in Finance & Economics and is a Graduate of the Executive Program in General Management from MIT Sloan in partnership with Eruditius Executive Education.
