Ninad Karpe is Partner at 100X.VC, India's first Fund to invest in early stage start-ups using iSAFE - India SAFE Notes. The firm has invested in 39 very innovative and disruptive startups so far and plans to invest INR 25 crores across 100 startups in 2021 to unlock the true growth potential of the Indian seed-stage startups. Karpe has authored a book on business strategies, titled “BOND to BABA”, which has received rave reviews and has been listed by Amazon in its prestigious list of “Memorable books of 2018”. Karpe is a Director of Aptech Ltd. and was the MD & CEO of Aptech Ltd. for more than seven years, till late last year. During his seven year stint as MD & CEO at Aptech, Karpe turned around the company and expanded its footprint to 42 emerging countries, with its brands of Arena and Aptech.
He was the Chairman, Western Region of the Confederation of Indian Industries (CII) for 2017-18, which is an honorary position. He previously served CA Technologies, the world’s fourth largest software vendor, as Managing Director covering India & SAARC countries, where he was associated with the company for more than thirteen years, since the inception of its operations in India. Earlier in his career, Karpe worked as a consultant, advising companies seeking to invest in India.
He frequently writes for magazines and is a regular speaker on technology and business strategy and has spoken at a TEDx event recently.
Karpe is also following his true passions at work. As co-promoter of Badaam Raja Productions, he will be part of the journey to produce good quality Marathi theatre. “A Perfect Murder” is the first Marathi play of this company which premiered in December 2018 and has received critical appreciation. Karpe had also launched his own brand of limited edition Pocket Squares on Amazon, under the brand name of “Karpe Diem Pocket Squares”.
